The Bicycle Thief has been selected to screen In Competition as part of the Mo and Friese programme at this BAFTA qualifying festival.
‘The Bicycle Thief’ has been selected to compete in the BCN Sports Film 2019 in Barcelona from June 3rd to 9th, 2019.
‘The Bicycle Thief’ will be screening in competition at the “Oscar-Qualifying” Cleveland International Film Festival from March 27 – April 7, 2019.
‘The Bicycle Thief’ has been selected to screen at the Cinemagic Film Festival, Belfast in March 2019 as part of their ‘On The Pulse’ programme.
‘The Bicycle Thief’ is among the Official Selections screening at the Sedona International Film Festival in February, 2019. Park Bench Pictures’ previous feature, ‘Common People’ won the Independent Spirit Award there in 2013. It’ll be great to be back among the red rocks of Arizona.
Our latest short film, The Bicycle Thief will have it’s World Premiere at the prestigious Mill Valley Film Festival outside San Francisco on October 6th, 2018 as part of their Mind The Gap Programme. Shot over two days in April 2018 by a production team that was over 70% female, we’re incredibl proud to be included in the programme, and look forward to presenting the film to our first audiences at this amazing festival.
The script for a new short film by Kerry Skinner and Stewart Alexander called, The Bicycle Thief has been chosen for Directors UK’s ALEXA Challenge 2018.
Full details of the competition can be found here: https://directors.uk.com/news/challenge-alexa-2018/ but the gist is that Park Bench Pictures will recieve an incredible amount of support from both Directors UK and Arri, including the most sought-after camera on the market – the Arri ALEXA, anamorphic lenses and other state of the art equipment – free of charge. The film has to be shot in just two days by April 5th, 2018 and completed within a month afterwards. Kerry and Stewart are currently putting a crew together, and planning the production.
